Neil L. Wilt

Neil L. Wilt, 71, Duncansville, passed away unexpectedly Sunday at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late George C. and Ruth (Yeckley) Wilt. He married Lois D. Trenger in 1968, and she preceded him in death in 2015.

Surviving are a daughter, Chrisy Liebal and husband, Rich, of Roaring Spring; a son, Chad and wife, Jen, of Duncansville; six grandchildren: Jalynn, Hunter, Zach, Colby, Maci and Zoey; a brother, Dean of Harrisburg; and his companion, Betty Fisher of Hollidaysburg.

Neil was a 1965 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. He served with the U.S. Coast Guard for 24 years and retired from New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co. Inc.

He was a life member of the Duncansville VFW Post 8724. 

Neil loved spending time with his family and friends, golfing, hunting and wood working.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc. Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Thursday. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
