Norman E. "Moe" Conrad

Norman E. “Moe” Conrad, 83, Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at his residence.

He was born March 9, 1934, in Glen White, Cambria County, son of the late Gerald Paul and Edna (Nagle) Conrad. He married Doris L. Gardner on October 24, 1953, in Hollidaysburg, and she passed away June 17, 2006, after having shared 52 years of marriage.

Surviving are a daughter, Sherry Conrad and companion, Barry, of Flinton; a grandchild, Elisha Maines, and husband, Brad; a great-granddaughter, Brooke; two great-grandsons: Wyatt and Matthew; and a daughter-in-law, Diane.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda, in 1991; a son, James, in 2010; a brother, Jim; and two infant grandsons.

Norman served with the Pennsylvania National Guard. He was self-employed in metal recycling and had 30 years of service with Altoona and Martinsburg shoe companies.

He enjoyed his great-grandchildren and fishing.

Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, immediately followed by a noon funeral service by the Reverend Jaime G. Olson. Interment will be at New Canoe Creek Cemetery.
