R. Shawn Keefer

R. Shawn Keefer, 45, Duncansville, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018, in Altoona.

He was born February 5, 1973, in Altoona, son of Robert "Bud" and Sally (Ellenberger) Keefer. In 2007, he married Heather Holland.

Surviving are his wife of 11 years; three children: a daughter, Elizabeth, and two sons, Jonathan and Joseph, all at home; his parents of Enola, formerly of Hollidaysburg; and three sisters: Denise Maselli of Crystal Springs, Connie Detwiler of Altoona and Lonna Burrows in Tennessee; a brother, Kevin, of Enola; and an aunt, Joan Johnson of Martinsburg.

Shawn was a 1991 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School. He was owner and operator of Stroehmann Bakery, Altoona. He served as a sergeant at arms for Bikers Against Child Abuse, and he was a life-member of Duncansville VFW Post 8724.

He enjoyed spending time with his children, playing with his dog, Jada, and riding motorcycles. He was also an avid fan of Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football.

Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2018.
