Robert L. Hiles Sr., 72, Altoona, passed away Saturday at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Milford G. and Margaret (Koontz) Hiles. In 1967, he married Sharon M. Boore.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years; a daughter, Phyllis Angermeier and husband, Tim, of Duncansville; a son, Robert L. Jr. and wife, Crissy, of Altoona; four grandchildren; and a sister, Laura Hennaman of Duncansville.
Robert served in the U.S. Army from 1964-67. He retired from Ollinger Brick as a salesman.
He enjoyed metal detecting and playing the slots.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at New Life Worship Center, 600 Ritts Road, Altoona. Arrangements are by Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg
