Ronald W. Dodson, 78, Garden Heights, Altoona, formerly of Lakemont, died Monday at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Lakemont, son of the late Cletus and Alverta (Keller) Dodson. In 1960, he married Dorothy McGregor in England.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years; a daughter, Debra Dodson and husband, David Curry, of Philadelphia; a son, Wayne A. and wife, Tammy, in New Mexico; two grandchildren: Matthew and Heather; a great-grandson, Matthew; a brother, Cletus Jr. in Altoona.
He was preceded in death by two grandsons: Ian and Jamie; and a sister, Diane Clapper.
Ronald served during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Master Sgt. after 22 years of service. He then retired from CRH Vending.
He was a member of the Duncansville VFW Post 8724, and a life member of the Bavarian Aid Society and the Heidelberg Country Club.
Ronald enjoyed golfing, fishing and watching football.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2018, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg. Inurnment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
