Ross Merritts Obituary

Ross D. "Whitey" Merritts, 89, Duncansville, died Thursday evening at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Canoe Creek, son of the late Ross and Vergie (Leamer) Merritts.

Surviving is a brother, Thomas William Merritts Sr.

He worked at the former Mattern Orchard, Hollidaysburg.

Whitey enjoyed the outdoors, watching wildlife and watching westerns.

Friends will be received from 1 until the 2 p.m. memorial service Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, Vicar Kathy L. Stump officiating.

Inurnment will be at New Canoe Creek Cemetery.
