Sharon L. (Walters) McIntyre, 55, of Duncansville, died Thursday at home after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Donald L. and Mary Jane (Crawford) Walters. She married Richard "Rick" McIntyre in 1987.
Surviving are: her husband of 32 years; a daughter, Miranda, at home; three sisters: Linda George and Brenda Prosser, both of Duncansville, and Diane White of Altoona; four brothers: Ronald in Ohio, Kevin of Pittsburgh, Brian of Hollidaysburg, and Dennis of State College; an aunt, Carol Smith of Duncansville; and an uncle, Raymond Crawford of Hollidaysburg.
Sharon was a 1982 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Duncansville.
She was a housekeeper at St. Bernadine's Monastery and a cook at the Capitol Hotel.
She enjoyed knitting, photography and the outdoors.
Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2019, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., where a vigil service will be held.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Duncansville. Committal will be at Blair Memorial Park.
