Sharyon A. Wyland

Sharyon A. Wyland, 70, Altoona, died Friday, September 15, 2017, at Hillview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Altoona.

She was born November 1, 1946, in Bethlehem, daughter of the late Paul and Jean (Wolfe) Ecker. She married Melvin L. Wyland, who preceded her in death on May 25, 2006.

Surviving are a daughter, Kira Wyland and companion, J.T. Tahim, of Hanford, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Anna M. Gibboney and husband, John, of Williamsburg; three grandsons: Seth Tahim, Kristopher Dill and Daniel Hirschbiel; two sisters: Kathy Vandevander and Lisa Warburton; and a brother, Rodger.

Sharyon was a 1964 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired from Beaumont Mills, Juniata.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, Pastor Glenn Brumbaugh officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
