Thomas H. Snyder

Thomas H. Snyder, 69, of Duncansville, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, March 30, 2018.

He was born May 31, 1948 in Altoona, son of Theresa (Heiss) Snyder and the late Harold Snyder.  He married Dorothy E. Kline, September 23, 1978 at Hick's Memorial United Methodist Church, Duncansville.

Surviving are his wife with whom he shared 39 years of marriage; his mother; daughters:  Julie A. Snyder of Alexandria, VA; Amy L. Snyder at home; five sisters:  Judy Ferriell, Kathy Snyder, Linda Burr (Tim), Beverly Pounds (Daniel), Janey Springman (Steve) and a number of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Patty Snyder.

He was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School, class of 1967.  Tom retired from Norfolk Southern as a welder with 30 years of service.  He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Vietnam.

Tom attended Foot of Ten Independent Baptist Church.

He enjoyed the out of doors and fishing, and spending time with his pet dog.

Friends will be received 4-8 pm Wednesday, April 4th and 10-11 am Thursday, April 5th at Sorge Funeral Home, Inc., Hollidaysburg, immediately followed by an 11 am funeral service by Pastor David Huston.  Military Honors at the funeral home provided by Blair County Veteran's Honor Guard.

Interment will be in Dry Run Cemetery.
