Allyson D. (Fleck) Oppel, 63, of Hollidaysburg, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday.  She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles S. and Elizabeth C. (Hammaker) Fleck.  She married Steven J. Oppel on September 20, 1980.

Surviving are her husband of 42 years; two daughters: Amber Lewis and husband Mark, and Elizabeth Oppel-Goshorn and husband Kenneth; two sons: Lucas J., and Travis C. and wife Lacey, all of Hollidaysburg; nine grandchildren; two sisters: Cynthia Hammel and Theresa Campbell.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Fleck.

Allyson graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1978 and was working as a LPN at Altoona Center for Nursing Care.

She was a member of Dry Run Independent Baptist Church.

Allyson enjoyed raising animals, gardening, spending time with grandchildren, and being a devoted wife.  She enjoyed her faithful grand-dog, Gertude.

Friends will be received from 11am to 1pm on Monday December 12, 2022 at Dry Run Independent Baptist Church, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 1pm.  Private interment at Dry Run Cemetery.  Pastor John Leatherman officiating.
