Ann L. (Koelln) VanVeenendaal

Ann L. (Koelln) VanVeenendaal, 76, Hollidaysburg, died Wednesday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Yonkers, N.Y., daughter of the late Albert J. and Carita (Pfleidirer) Koelln. She married Hendrik VanVeenendaal in 1962. Surviving are her husband of 57 years; a son, Gerry and wife, Lisa, of Hollidaysburg; three grandchildren: Sarah Catherine and Ashley; a brother, Kenneth Koelln in Oklahoma; and a son-in-law, Daniel S. Averill. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Heidi Ann Averill, in 2016; and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth M. VanVeenendaal, in 2010. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 3 p.m., the Rev.
