Anna (Knab) Helsel

Anna (Knab) Helsel, 95, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Tuesday at the Presbyterian Village. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John Sr. and Anna (Fastenmier) Knab. Surviving are four daughters: Cheryl Helsel of Hollidaysburg, Darlene Dalby (Dan Caracciolo) of Carson Valley, Mary Heverly of Altoona, and Susan Ciccarella of Altoona; five grandchildren: Tina Boyd, Michelle Thompson, Michael Dalby, Anna, and Josephine Ciccarella; 5 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Louise Sutch in OR, and Mary Zeak of Hollidaysburg. Anna was preceded in death by a grandson, Eugene, and brothers: Frank and John Knab.

She worked in catering and housekeeping, and was a life-long member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg. Anna enjoyed going yardsaling, taking care of her pets, and spending time with her grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1pm on Friday, Oct 16, 2020, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, Fr. Alan E. Thomas celebrant. Committal at New St. Mary Cemetery.  Arrangements by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
