Anna M. (Coda) Vilani, 97, of Pittsburgh, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday. She was born in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Vincent and Petronella (Donatucci) Coda. She married Joseph W. Vilani Sr., who preceded her in death in 1967.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen Moran and husband Michael, of Duncansville; a son, Joseph W. Vilani Jr. and wife Patricia, in DE; four grandchildren: Jackie, Jessica, Gina, and Andrea; three great grandchildren: Sean, Sydney, and Gabriella; and a sister, Theresa Calhoun.
She was preceded in death by eight siblings.
Anna graduated from Westview High School and worked for Dravo Corp. during WWII, building ships for the military. She later managed an Italian Specialty store in Monroeville.
Anna was a member of St. Bartholomew Church for 61 years and involved in the Ladies’ Guild.
She loved listening to music, dancing, and writing poetry.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm Sunday June 12, 2022, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a Vigil service will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Monday at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg. Fr. Alan E. Thomas, Celebrant.
