Anna B. (Salyards) White

Anna B. (Salyards) White, 87, Altoona, died Tuesday at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.

She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Leopold) Salyards. 

Surviving are two sons: Timothy and wife, Debbie, of Altoona, and Donald and wife, Sherry, of Fallentimber; many grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Stevens of Hollidaysburg; and a brother, Robert of Martinsburg.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia, in 2010; and a son, Gary, in 2017.

Anna retired from the Blair County Corrections Office and was a member of the Puzzletown Road Bible Church.

She enjoyed making crafts at Blair Senior Services, crocheting and watching Westerns. Anna also enjoyed fellowship at the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen.

Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2019, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2019. Interment will be in Ormenia Mines Cemetery.
