Anthony “Tony” S. Trankulov, 74, of Duncansville, passed away Saturday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in East Chicago, son of the late Steven and Theresa (Dermendzin) Trankulov.
Surviving are his wife, Sharon, in Altoona; a sister, Helen Frances Plys, in Highland IN; four nephews: Paul Plys (Vicki), Raymond Plys (Michelle), Michael Plys (Kathy), and Joe Steel III (Virginia); four nieces: Barbara Wigren (Kevin), Rose Werner (John), Donna Shea (Pat), and Amanda Curran (Tim); and many great nieces and nephews that will continue to love and miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Steele, and an aunt, Annie Dermendzin.
Tony served in the US Army and previously worked at NAPA Auto Parts in Claysburg. He was a private person that enjoyed hunting, fishing, being in the outdoors, and spending time at MARS.
Tony was a man of few words that enjoyed the company of close friends.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7pm on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 7pm.
Interment at New St. Mary Cemetery.
