Barbara Baughman, 83, Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late George and Eunice (White) Oler.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Richard Baughman; three daughters: Constance, Debra Wimbrow and husband, Steven and Lisa Ledbetter and husband, Dennis; two sons: James and Jeffrey and wife, Ashli; nine grandchildren: Karlee, Kimber Jr., Erika, Ashleigh, Adam, Thaddeus, Colleen, Caroline and Finley; and a brother, Scott Oler and wife, Gail.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Louise Feathers.
Barbara was a 1954 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School. She was a very active member of the community and volunteered thousands of hours over the years to her favorite organizations which included Friends of the Library, Women's Club, Historic Hollidaysburg and Band Parents. Barbara's many years of selfless giving earned her the 2015 George Award presented by the Blair County Chamber of Commerce and Allegheny Lutheran Social Ministries. She was also awarded the Paul Harris Fellow recognition from the Rotary Club of Hollidaysburg. Additionally, her portrait hangs in the halls of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School, recognizing her as a distinguished alumnus.
Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2020, at Sorge Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 14, 2020, at Sorge Funeral Home and Crematory Inc, Pastor James Zaebst officiating.
Interment will be held at Alto-Reste Park.
