Barbara Kay Brubaker, 85, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Saturday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Woodbury, daughter of the late Lloyd and Marjorie (Bowser) Brubaker.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by siblings: Eleanor McCleary, Mary Berkheimer, Esther Cramer, and Galen Brubaker.
Kay graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1956, PSU in 1960 with a B.S. in Animal Husbandry, and earned an MBA in Education from Newark State College.
She retired from IU8 after 30+ years as a teacher.
Kay was a member of Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren and enjoyed camping, fishing, and the outdoors.
Friends will be received from 2-4pm on Friday Dec 29, 2023 at Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 4pm with Pastor Linda Banaszak officiating.
Private interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
