Barbara J. (Beals) Civiello, 83, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Thomas T. and Virginia M. (Smith) Beals. She married Vincent F. Civiello, who preceded her in death in 2002.
Surviving are four daughters: Vonnie Jo Carmody of Altoona, Patricia Ann Hill and Virginia L. Civiello, both of Hollidaysburg, and Heidi Douglass of Altoona; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Wanda Churchill; a brother Thomas Beals; nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel M. McCloskey in 1982, and a sister, Patricia Palazzi.
Barb graduated from Altoona High School in 1957 and retired in 1969 from Butterick Co.
She was a volunteer at Juniata Elementary School for over 20 years, where she was known as “Mrs. C.” Barb enjoyed being in a retired teachers’ craft group.
At Barb’s request, there will be no public services at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.
