Barry L. Bowser, 70, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Herbert and Margaret (Zeth) Bowser. He married Carol Hartman on July 6, 1974.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years; a son, Daniel; two brothers: Terry and Gary and wife, Debra; two sisters-in-law, Marsha Bowser and Nancy Dodson; a brother-in-law David Hartman and wife Sherry in FL; two aunts: Rosie Wagner and Debbie Kelley; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother and best friend, John; two sisters-in-law: Doreen Bowser and Sandy Trapolsi; his mother-in-law, Betty Hartman; and his father-in-law, Donald Hartman.
Barry graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1972 and retired from Lawruk Builders Inc.
He enjoyed car shows, racing motorcycles, going out to eat, being outdoors, and his dog, Mini. Barry loved spending time with his family and his many close friends. Daniel was the joy of his life.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5pm Tuesday August 22, 2023, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 5pm.
