Beatrice "Bea" E. (Zimmerman) Baker

July 17, 1934 – Feb 22, 2025

Beatrice “Bea” E. (Zimmerman) Baker, 90, of Altoona, passed away Saturday at UPMC Altoona, she was born in Altoona, daughter of the late James and Mary (Detwiler) Zimmerman.

Surviving are three daughters: Michele Lloyd and husband, John, Shelly Baker, and Amy Baker; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two “adopted” daughters: Karan Price and Jan Kasnevich.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Maurcie Chamberlain.

Bea was a 1952 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and was a homemaker.  

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Bea enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates and Penn State Football. She also enjoyed participating in the activities at her apartment.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Woodrow Wilson Garden Apartments in Altoona.
