Carol A. (Spangler) Brown

Carol A. (Spangler) Brown, 83, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Sunday at her residence. She was born in Washington, daughter of the late Guy and Elizabeth Spangler. She married James A. Brown in 1960, who preceded her in death in 2002, after sharing 42 years of marriage.

Surviving are her daughter, Christine Brown of Hollidaysburg; and a sister, Debi Spangler.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Giles.

Carol was a graduate of Rockwood Area High School and retired in 2025 as a paraprofessional from Frankstown Elementary School, after 50+ years.

She was a member of the Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church.   

Carol enjoyed time with family, dining out, and attending church activities.

Friends will be received from 10am – 12 noon Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 12 noon.
