Carol A. (Long) Davis, 84, of Hollidaysburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday at the Presbyterian Village. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Andrew C. and Ruth I. (Culp) Long. She married Gary A. Davis on June 9, 1962.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years; two daughters: Andrea Collins and husband, Jack and Elizabeth Figurelle and husband Wayne, all of Hollidaysburg; a son, Christopher “Cubby” Davis and wife, Karen of Duncansville; fourteen grandchildren: Bridget, Davis, Elle, Jack Jr. “JJ”, Morgan, Dillon, Hannah, Brianna, Kiersten “Kiki”, Steven, Alex, Josh, Brittany, Emma; ten great grandchildren: Gretchen, Finn, Cash, Richie, Roz, Ozzy, Otto, Gio, Arden, Aila; a brother, Marlin Long; and a sister, Judy Bice.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alison Jean Davis; and two siblings: Murry Long and Jackie Long.
Carol graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1958 and then earned an AS in Business.
She worked at the Hollidaysburg YMCA children’s center. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Hollidaysburg.
Carol loved caring for her grandchildren, watching Pittsburgh sports, and her dachshund, Beanie.
Friends will be received from 11am to 1pm Tuesday May 7, 2024, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 1pm.
