Carol J. (McCall) Gale, 78 of Hollidaysburg, passed away Saturday at The Winds. She was born in Sligo, daughter of the late Victor and Lottie (Bashline) McCall.
Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca Black of Hollidaysburg; two sons, Kevin Black (Andrea) in IN, and Dennis Black (Dama) in SC; many grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn Wishart; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by siblings: John McCall and Janet Pohl.
Carol graduated from Union Joint HS in Rimersburg and earned a BS in Chemistry from Grove City College.
She was a Plant Operator/Chemist at Water and Wastewater Treatment in Beverly, OH, and served as a volunteer at Hollidaysburg Borough.
Carol was a Charter Member of the Beverly Waterford Rescue Squad and served for 25+ years.
She enjoyed volunteering at Friend’s Farm CSA, embroidery, and performing community service.
Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 noon.
Private interment at Rimersburg Cemetery.
