Carol Jean (Miller) Gish

Aug 28, 1941 – Jan 16, 2026 

Carol Jean (Miller) Gish, 84, of Tyrone, lost her battle with dementia on Friday. She was born in Jonestown, the daughter of the late Walter and Mariam (Yorty) Miller.  

Surviving are her two daughters, Debra Maddas and her husband Dennis and Kathy Fies; seven grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her sisters: Sallie, Carlene, Arlene, Doris, Donna and Sherry; a brother Ernie, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Kristy LeAnn; sisters: Mildred, Evelyn, and Wilma; brothers: Dean, Gerald, Raymond, Marvin, Warren, Ronald and David.  

Carol retired from Hershey Chocolate after 42 years of employment. 

As per Carol’s request, there will be no viewing or funeral. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
