Carrie J. (Sorge) Moyer

Carrie J. (Sorge) Moyer, 74, of Duncansville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday.  She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles W. and Geneva G. (McCready) Sorge.  She married Paul T. Moyer, Sr. in 1981, he preceded her in death in 1997.

Surviving are a son, Paul T. Jr. and wife Rachael of Duncansville, and a granddaughter, Lilith; three brothers: Lloyd C. and wife Melody, Don W. and wife Deb, and Melvin C.; an aunt, Jennie Hansis of Quebec; a niece, Laura, and nephews: Ashley, Randy, and Aden; and special friends: Patty Davis, Sophie Yartin, and Lynda Trout.

Sis was a 1964 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School, and worked at Veeder Root for 31 years as an assembler.  She was a member of Altoona Chapter OES 290, and a member of Newry Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed making lap blankets.

Sis enjoyed watching PBR and playing cards with her friends.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, Pastor Richard Henry officiating.  Interment at Alto Reste Park.
