Charles C. Steinbrunner

Charles C. Steinbrunner, 88, of Hollidaysburg passed away Tuesday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Karl F. and Helen R. (Coho) Steinbrunner. He married Nancy Lee Staines in 1959.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years; two daughters: Debra Gagliano and husband, Dominick in NJ and Christine Steinbrunner of Hollidaysburg; six grandchildren: Bridget, Eddie, Michael, Nicholas, Dominick, and Gina; six great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mary and Katherine; a brother, George; long-time friend, Andy; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cynthia (Steinbrunner) Alvarez in 1996 and seven siblings: Karl, William, Robert, James, Ronald, Bertha, and Helen.

Chick served in the US Navy and retired as a Teamsters truck driver.

He was an avid golfer and fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family.
