Charlie Doutt, 67, of Roaring Spring, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Henry E. and Frances J. (Cadman) Doutt. He married Jeanie McGraw in 1974. Surviving are his beloved wife of 47 years; a daughter, Dawn Dilling and husband Eric of Martinsburg; a son, Jon and wife Jessica of Altoona; two grandchildren: Ethan and Ellie; a sister, Marian Seaton in NC; a brother Bill of Martinsburg; nieces and nephews. Charlie was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Ann in 1975.

Charlie graduated from Central High School in 1971 and attended the Altoona Campus. He started with Nicodemus Construction before becoming proprietor of Doutt & Snyder Construction.

He was a devout man of God, serving as a board member, Sunday School Teacher, Men’s Ministry, youth leader, and Church Security. Charlie was a passionate historian and loved Civil War reenacting with the 2nd US Cavalry. Charlie also enjoyed antique farm equipment. He loved his horses and all animals, and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, his devoted cat, Simon, and dog, Fanci.

All services are private. A private funeral service will be live streamed at www.sorgefuneralhome.com at 12pm on Friday, January 29, 2021. Interment at Umbria Cemetery.
