Cindy L. (McMullen) Showalter

Cindy L. (McMullen) Showalter, 75, of Lakemont, passed away Wednesday. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Claude and Althea (Simmers) McMullen. She married David Showalter Sr. in 1970.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years; children: Kim Grace and husband Roger of Altoona, David Jr. of Duncansville, and Tim and wife Amy of Lakemont; six grandchildren: Scott, Victoria, Kate, Tyler, Chelsea, and Chris; and three great-grandchildren; three sisters: Carol Shaw, Cheryl Astore, and Deborah Bais; a brother, Daniel McMullen.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Rick McMullen.

Cindy worked in Dietary and retired from the James E. VanZandt Medical Center.

She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, and gossiping with friends.  She loved frying chicken for her family and friends.

Friends will be received from 2-4pm Monday, March 10, 2025, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Hollidaysburg where a funeral service will immediately follow at 4 pm.

Private interment at Blair Memorial Park.
