Oct 23, 1937 – March 3, 2023

Clair J. Diehl Sr., 85, of Puzzletown, passed away Friday.  He was born in Altoona, son of the late Harry and Myrtle Diehl.  He married Lois J. Haman in 1959.

Surviving are his wife 63 years; five daughters: Sonia Pike, Ann Kelly (Dennis), Rena Hoover (Joe), Jane Holsinger, Laura Fagan; four sons: Clair Jr. (Barb), Philip (Karen), Matt (Danielle), James; 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dory Sell.

Clair graduated from Hollidaysburg High School and retired from Lowe’s Garden Center.

He was a life-member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.      

Clair enjoyed hunting, raising rabbits, gardening, and farming.

Friends will be received from 10am to 12pm on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Newry, where a funeral Mass will immediately follow at 12pm.  Private committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.  Arrangements by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.
