Clarence “Trem” J. Tremmel, 90, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday at his residence.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late John and Pearl (Imler) Tremmel, and raised by the late Clarence and Irene Imler. He married Donna Muir in 1955.
Surviving are his wife of 68 years; two daughters: Brenda Prendergast and husband Eric of Duncansville, and Lisa McClintock and husband Bryan of Etters; a grandson, Jacob; and a nephew, Robert Tremmel.
He was preceded in death by a step-brother, Floyd Imler, three sisters and three brothers.
Trem served in the US Army 101st Airborne during Korea.
He retired from Beasley Rebuilders as a machinist in 1995.
He was an active member at the First Church of the Brethren, Altoona.
Trem enjoyed tinkering with automobiles and helping other people.
Friends will be received from 10am to 12pm on Thursday Aug 31, 2023 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 12pm with Rev. Dr. Joey Fleck officiating. Private interment at Blair Memorial Park.
