Connie Mae (Dotzler) Houck

July 15, 1949 – Jan 8, 2026  

Connie Mae Houck, 76, of Lakemont passed away on Thursday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles and Viola Mae (Green) Dotzler. 

Surviving are her sister Eleanor Matthew and husband Skip; a niece Robin Elliott (Jeff); and two nephews Jamie (Pam) O’Brien and Darren (Tracy) O’Brien. 

She was preceded in death by her sister Shirley O’Brien and niece Debbie Snyder. 

Connie graduated from Hollidaysburg Area High School in 1967.  

She worked at the Altoona Hospital for 35 years prior to her retirement.  

Connie attended Lakemont Church of God. 

She enjoyed bowling at Holiday Bowl, Zumba at the Groove, sunbathing and spending time with her cats.  

Friends will be received from 11am to 12 noon Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg where a memorial service will immediately follow at 12 noon.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Central PA Humane Society.
