Dale G. Claycomb Sr.

July 28, 1953 – Feb 10, 2021

Dale G. Claycomb Sr., 67, of East Freedom, passed away Wednesday at his residence. He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Glen and Margaret (Musselman) Claycomb. He married Vickie Bartley in 1974.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years; a son, Dale G. Jr., and wife Tammy of East Freedom; two grandsons: Cody and Devin; three sisters: Joan Mellott, Darlene Closson, and Lisa Claycomb.

Dale graduated from Claysburg Kimmel High School in 1971 and was self employed as a Contractor. He was a member of Hollidaysburg Lodge 281 F&AM, a York Rite Mason, and a member of the Jaffa Shrine. He was a life-member of Three Valley Sportsman’s Club and enjoyed spending time with his son and grandson hunting and fishing. Dale also enjoyed gardening.

Friends will be received from 1-3pm on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 3pm, officiated by Tom Smith. Interment at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery.
