Daniel C. King, 32, of Duncansville, passed away Friday with his dog, Gunner, by his side. He was born in McConnellsburg, son of the late Chester “Curt” King and Phyllis (Kauffman) Bolen. He married Lindsay B. Kensinger in 2019.
Surviving are his wife of 6 years; a daughter, Brooklyn; a son, Curtis; his mother and step-father, Don of Thomasville; his step-mother, Kimberly Mathews-King of Hollidaysburg; a grandmother, Pauline King; a sister, Stacey King; two step-sisters: Melinda Mathews and Paige Bolen; a step-brother, Trey Mathews; and nieces and nephews.
Dan was preceded in death by his step-sister, Shaela Bolen.
He was a 2012 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and served in the Army National Guard for 8 years.
Dan was a Corrections Officer at SCI Benner.
He enjoyed bowling, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.
Friends will be received from 11 am to 2pm on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Faith Assembly, Roaring Spring, where a funeral service with military honors will immediately follow at 2pm.
Private interment at New St. Mary Cemetery.
