Daniel “J.R.” W. Walk Jr., 47, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Hammond IN, son of Patricia (Robertson) and the late Daniel W. Walk Sr.
Surviving are a son, Ashton; his mother of Hollidaysburg; his grandmother, Doris Robertson of Hollidaysburg; a sister, Danicia Walk of Duncansville; three brothers: Patrick and wife Megan of Claysburg, Douglas and wife Shawna of Manheim, and Paul and wife Jen of Hollidaysburg.
He graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1994 and earned a BS in engineering from South Hills School of Business and Technology.
J.R. served in the US Army and worked as a mechanic for the railroad.
He attended Faith Baptist Church in Altoona and helped coach girl’s softball.
J.R. was an avid bowler and golfer.
Friends will be received from 2 to 5pm Monday September 12, 2022, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg. A funeral service will be held at 11am Tuesday at Faith Baptist Church, Altoona with Pastor Gary Dull officiating.
Interment at Logan Valley Cemetery.
