David Jeffrey Dodson

March 7, 1946 – Apr 24, 2024

David Jeffrey Dodson, 78, of East Freedom, formerly of Hollidaysburg, passed away Wednesday. He was born in Hollidaysburg, son of the late Robert D. and Maxine (Crum) Dodson.

Surviving are: a daughter, Megan Dodson in CA; a son, Ryan Dodson in TN; a sister, Ann Dodson Price of East Freedom; and a brother, Robert Charlie Dodson of Hollidaysburg.        

Jeff attended Penn State University and California State University Northridge, where he obtained a degree in Sociology.

He was an expert in Human Resources and was a consultant for many firms.  

Jeff grew up serving as an altar boy at St. Mary Roman Catholic Catholic Church in Hollidaysburg.              

He enjoyed flying and got his pilot's license; sailing, and he owned several sailboats and sailed in Southern CA. He was a proud Blue Water Vietnam Veteran, where he served as an aviation fire control technician.

Friends will be received from 3 to 5pm Tuesday April 30, 2024, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 5pm.
