David E. Lafferty Jr., 75, of Altoona, passed away Friday at his residence. He was born in Altoona, son of the late David Sr. and Elizabeth (Lumadu) Lafferty. He married Helen White in 1970.

Surviving is his wife of 56 years; a son, David III and wife Cheryl of Hollidaysburg; two grandsons: David and Joshua; two brothers: Bernard and Kenneth; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by siblings: Sharon and Jim.

David graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1969 and retired from Berwind White as a welder.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, and hanging out in Mike’s garage.

Friends will be received from 10am to 12 noon Tuesday May 19, 2026, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg where a memorial service will immediately follow at 12 noon.
