David A. McCale

David A. McCale, 72, of Altoona, passed away on Monday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late James and Helen (Wills) McCale. He married Lisa Brantner on September 29, 2001.

Surviving are his wife of 23 years; a step son, Steven Diven (Molly); a daughter, Kathy Weyandt (Irv); a son, Scott McCale (Anita); four grandchildren: Addison, Michael, Cheyanne, and Damian; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Ken and Lawrence McCale; and two sisters: Sandy Marlett and Donna McCale.

David graduated from Altoona High School in 1971 and worked for Boyer Candy Co. for 25 years as a Maintenance Foreman. He was a lifetime member of the Bavarian Aid Society.

Dave enjoyed hunting, archery, camping, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4pm Saturday April 13, 2024, at Grace Pointe Community Church in Williamsburg, where a celebration of life will follow at 4pm. Cremation service by Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.
