Sept 25, 1948 - May 2, 2023

Deborah A. Brown, 74, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona, after a courageous fight with breast cancer and various health complications. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Frederick Sr. and Pauline (Barrett) Bell.

Surviving are her long-time partner of 34 years, John White of Altoona; a son, Dana Brown; stepsons: Jeffrey White (Diane) and Troy McConnell (Shelbia); grandchildren: Samantha (Calvin), Justin, Tyler, Nathan, Bryant, Jeffrey, Andy, and Austin (Ashley); great grandchildren: Jaxon, Maddox, Olivia, Ashtin, and Adalynn.

She was preceded in death by sons: Bryan and Jeffrey Brown; granddaughters: Katie and Jerica; a brother, Frederick Bell Jr.; and a sister, Sandra Bell.

Deb graduated from Altoona High School in 1966 and retired from the former Roosevelt Junior High School as a cafeteria worker.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and she loved their Schnauzer pup, Zoey. For many years, John and Deb went camping regularly at Manns Choice Camping Court and spent many winter months in Florida with friends.

All services are private at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc.

Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
