Deborah J. (Walters) Hammel

Deborah J. Hammel, 71, of Altoona, passed away Tuesday. She was born in Duncansville, daughter of the late James “Boe” and Shirley (Sensabaugh) Walters.

Surviving are a son, James Hammel; a grandson, Colton Hammell; three sisters: Evelyn Boyer, Connie Lingenfelter, and Jackie Schmidt; and special friend and care giver, Ray “Fred” Stiver.

Deborah was a 1972 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School.        

She liked to craft and bake.

Friends will be received from 10am to noon Friday August 25, 2023, at Dry Run Independent Baptist Church, where a funeral service will immediately follow at noon with Pastor John Leatherman officiating.
