Dennis L. McCloskey

May 16, 1954- June 3, 2026

Dennis L. McCloskey, 72, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday at his residence.  He was born in Altoona, son of the late Chester A. and F. Jean (Barr) McCloskey.

Surviving are two sisters: Elma Cassidy in NC, and Ginger Hartman and husband Scott in AZ; a brother, Larry and wife Deanna of Altoona; his guardian angel, Kara Thompson and husband, Denver of Altoona; 6 nieces and 5 nephews; and his best friend, Mike Ventre.

Dennis was preceded in death by brothers: David and Joseph.

He retired as a truck mechanic from Penn Public and Heverly Enterprises.

Dennis enjoyed working on his ’67 Ford truck and spending time at his friend’s junkyard.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
