Dennis Thomas “Tom” McNulty, 95, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Patton, passed away Monday, just weeks shy of his 96th birthday, at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.  He was born in Patton, son of the late Augustine and Rosanna (Farabaugh) McNulty. He married MaryLou Bridget Foley in 1952.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years; two daughters: Cynthia McNulty of Pittsburgh and Margaret McNulty and husband Dean Baker of Hollidaysburg; two sons: Michael and wife Sun in FL, and Timothy and wife Cherie of Butler; a brother, Joe; a grandson, Hiro McNulty and wife Erin of State College; many other grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Katie Meyer; and siblings: Benedict, Verna Yencho, Paul, and Doris Swab.

Tom graduated from St. Francis College with a BS in Accounting, and retired from Kemper Insurance Co. after 40 years as an auditor.  He served in the US Army during WWII, and was a life-member of the Knights of Columbus, Queen of Peace Council 4890, Patton.

Tom was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Patton until he moved to Hollidaysburg in 2009, becoming a member of St Mary Roman Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.

Tom was shaped by, and loyal to, the values and people of his hometown where he lived most of his 96 years. Tom taught his children the importance of hard work, and inspired a love of the outdoors and travel.  He was devoted to charities that benefitted Native Americans.

The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care provided by the Allegheny Lutheran Home, and want to thank the nurses, aides, administrators and staff of the home.

At the convenience of the family, a memorial service will be held at a later date.  Committal at Calvary Cemetery.
