Dennis Staines

Oct. 2, 1956 – Nov. 10, 2024

Dennis “Denny” Staines, 68, of Altoona, passed away Sunday in Sharples, WV. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Arthur and Wilda (Baker) Staines. He married Shelia Baldwin in 2003.

Surviving are his wife of 21 years; two daughters: Rachel Staines (Samuel Bonsell) and Laci Staines; a son, Brian and wife, Destiny; two sisters: Nancy Steinbrunner and Wanda Snowberger; four grandchildren: Noah, Emma, Micah, and Olivia; many nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Barbara Staines.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Ritchey and three brothers: Gary, Arthur Jr., and William.

Denny was a member of IBEW Local 5 for 35 plus years in Altoona. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Aerosmith, and the Eagles band. He also enjoyed camping with family and friends.                     

Friends will be received from noon – 2pm, Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 2pm.
