Dolores A. (Aiken) Lafferty, 92, of Altoona, passed away Sunday at Maybrook Hills. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Crea and Edna (Stoltz) Aiken. She married Nelson J. Lafferty, who preceded her in death in 1997, after sharing 49 years of marriage.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Foust (Woody); a son, Jeffery Lafferty; two grandsons: Adam (Rachael) and Alex (Chelsea); a great -granddaughter, Addison; one sister, Dorothy Clapper; a sister-in-law, Ann; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons: Gregory and Alan; a sister, Helen Aiken; three brothers: Jack, John, and Harry Aiken; and two sisters-in-law: Shirley and Marie.
Dolores worked at SKF for 30 years as a production assembler and matcher, and then volunteered at the Altoona Hospital Medical Records.
She was a life member of the Red Hat Society and Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Dolores enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Friends will be received from 2-3pm on Thursday Jan 11, 2024 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 3pm.
Private interment at Blair Memorial Park.
