Don D. Chamberlain

Jan 16, 1936 – Jan 22, 2025

Don D. Chamberlain, 89, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday.  He was born in Williamsburg, son of the late Leroy and Wilda (Hoover) Chamberlain.  He married Kay E. Newman in 1982.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years; two daughters: Debra Lane of Williamsburg, and Lu Ann Verbonitz of Martinsburg; a son, Bruce and wife Vicky of Williamsburg; 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Don was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather; siblings: Sylvester, Palmer, Janell Criswell, and Meryle.

Don graduated from Williamsburg HS in 1953 retired Small Tubes as a crane operator.

Don enjoyed hunting and fishing and spent many days hiking in the mountains.  He also enjoyed collecting and selling antique bottles.
