Donald E. Dodson

May 28, 1942 – April 7, 2026

Donald E. Dodson, 83, of Hollidaysburg passed away Tuesday. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Nelson L. and Blanche O. (Johnston) Dodson. He married Zenith A. Hoover 1964, who preceded him in death in 2024 after sharing 59 years of marriage.

Surviving is a son, Dan and wife, Samantha; a sister, Paulette Clapper; and four brothers: Ronald, Richard, Paul, and Randy Dodson.     

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Dodson in 1965; two sisters: Star Joy Dodson, Virginia Hann; a brother, David Dodson.

Don retired after 41 years as machine operator from Small Tubes.

He was an avid outdoorsman and had a passion for upland bird hunting and his Brittany dogs.

There will be no services.
