Donald S. Miller Sr., 82, of Carson Valley, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Stewart D. and Sara (Butler) Miller. He married Phyllis Becker, who preceded him in death in 2005.
Surviving are two daughters: Deborah Conrad and husband, Adam of Duncansville and Victoria Blanchard of Altoona; two sons: Donald Jr. and wife, Jen of Harrisburg and James and wife, Kristin of Tyrone; six grandchildren: Danielle (Noah), Jordan (Jordyn), Jonathan (Jessica), Emily (Mitch), Ava, and Sam; five great grandchildren: Ziska, Anika, Reinhardt, Derek, and Isaak; and a brother, Richard Miller.
Donald graduated from Altoona High School and retired from Norfolk Southern in 2001 after 38 years as an engineer.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, woodworking, and watching baseball and football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4pm Wednesday February 14, 2024, at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a memorial service will immediately follow at 4pm.
