Doris Mae (Mahute) Terza

Feb 24, 1948 – Jan 21, 2026 

Doris M. (Mahute) Terza, 77, of Altoona, passed away Wednesday. She was born in Madera, daughter of the late George and Mae (Richardson) Mahute. She married Robert Terza in 1969. 

Survivng are her husband of 56 years; two sons: Joseph and wife Beckey and Justin; two grandchildren: Joshua and Caleb; and two sisters: Linda Kutruff and Kathy Kephart.  

She was preceded in death by her brother, George Jr.; and her two sisters: Helen Witherow and Frances Mahute.  

Doris received her associate's degree in legal studies from Penn State. 

She was a devoted housewife and attended United Methodist Church.  

Doris was intelligent, sensible, full of grace, kindness, and always saw the best intentions in people. Doris had a great sense of class and style and passed those traits to her beloved sons and grandsons. She was labeled affectionately as “Feisty” by hospitalists and skilled nursing staff even as our Heavenly Father recruited her to come Home.  

At the request of the family, there will be no public services.
