Doris Van Voorhees, 83, of Flinton, PA, passed away at home on Monday, Dec 15. She was born in Long Beach, CA, daughter of the late John and Virginia (Shaff) Davison.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Roger Van Voorhees; daughter Cathy Bell; sons Rex and Roy Hartman and Darrell and Ken Van Voorhees; nine grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Nancy Kish.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Johnny and Jerry Davison and Flo Reed.
Doris graduated from Excelsior Union High School and California State University. She worked her whole career as an Accountant, eventually retiring from Liberty Tax.
She was a member of Eastern Star and attended church at Coalport Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
Doris enjoyed spending time with her family. Making things for her family brought her much joy; she created quilts, embroidered home goods and made scrapbooks. Her favorite Friday
night activity was going to Bingo with her daughter and granddaughters.
She will be missed by all who knew her. A service will be held at a later date.
