Dorothy J. (Pankhurst) Weichel

June 1, 1934 - March 16, 2026

Dorothy J. (Pankhurst) Weichel, 91, of Duncansville, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Midland, MI, daughter of the late John and Lillian (Cook) Pankhurst. She married Donald H. Weichel, who preceded her in death in 1979.

Surviving are her two daughters: Denise Badorrek and husband, Heinz of Hollidaysburg and Diane Jackson and husband, Mike of Duncansville; two sons: David, in MT and Darryl of Duncansville; four grandchildren: Joshua, Daina, Michelle, and Sarah; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Colleen Henry; and a brother, Jerry Pankhurst.

She was preceded in death by a son, Donald K. Weichel in 2025 and two siblings: John and Elsie.

Dorothy was a homemaker, who raised her five children and helped raise her grandchildren.

She enjoyed spending time with her family.         

Friends will be received from 3 to 5pm, Tuesday March 24, 2026 at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg where a funeral service will immediately follow at 5pm with Pastor Rodney Ingram, officiating.

Private interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
