Dr. J. Dennis "Doc" Flynn

July 30, 1938 – March 16, 2025

 Dr. J. Dennis “Doc” Flynn, 86, of Graystone Altoona, passed away Sunday at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center. He was born in Connecticut, son of the late James and Mary (Dennehy) Flynn. He married Betsy Constance in 1994.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years; 3 daughters: Julie, Anne, and Erin; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He graduated from Georgetown University with a Medical Degree in Radiology.

Doc served in the US Army, holding the rank CPT and is a Vietnam Veteran.

He worked at numerous local hospitals and was the head radiologist in a Veterans’ Hospital in Melbourne, FL.

Doc was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in Altoona.

He enjoyed spending time with family, deep sea fishing, and playing poker with the guys at Graystone.
